Saul Maraney’s notes on Dr. Hew Len’s essay: “WHO IS IN CHARGE?”
I have included my summary notes of Dr. Hew Len’s essay: “WHO IS IN CHARGE?” from the incredible book “Zero Limits” – By Dr. Vitale and Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len.
Like with my summary notes on the “Ho’oponopono Glossary” and “The BASICS of Self I-Dentity through Ho’oponopono”, these notes have been a wonderful resource to me, and have greatly assisted me to be more persistent with my Ho’oponopono cleaning. – I hope you find them to be of great benefit to you too.
With permission, I have also included four original paintings that I received this week from my friend Ryan Seslow in New York.
Ryan is a very talented multidisciplinary artist living and working in New York. He is also a Professor of Fine Arts teaching studio art courses simultaneously between 4 colleges in New York. Ryan works in all mediums and shows his work both nationally and internationally.
Ryan assists people to expand their creative potential, and I personally find Ryan’s’ art to be extremely inspirational.

WHO IS IN CHARGE?
1. It is a RELIEF to know that problems can be SOLVED WITHOUT knowing what is going on.
2. To SOLVE problems I need to answer: Who am I? and Who is in charge?
3. Most people deal with the world as being a physical entity.
4. The intellect (conscious mind) BELIEVES it is the problem solver, and that it controls what happens and what is experienced.
5. Tor Norretranders (The User Illusion) paints a DIFFERENT picture of consciousness.
6. He cites research studies that show that decisions are made BEFORE consciousness makes them, and that the intellect is NOT aware of this, and BELIEVES it decides.
7. Norretranders also cites research that shows that the intellect is ONLY CONSCIOUS of 15-20 bits of information per second OUT OF MIILIONS out of its consciousness.
8. IF NOT the intellect or consciousness, WHO is in charge?
9. Memories REPLAYING dictate what the subconscious mind EXPERIENCES.
10. The conscious mind ECHOS memories REPLAYING.
11. The conscious mind SEES, FEELS and DECIDES EXACTLY as memories DICTATE.
12. The conscious mind OPERATES WITHOUT the sub consciousness’s awareness of memories REPLAYING.
13. As research shows, these memories DICTATE what the conscious mind experiences.
14. The body and the world RESIDE in the subconscious mind as memories REPLAYING, RARELY AS INSPIRATIONS.
15. The subconscious and conscious mind, comprising the SOUL, does NOT generate their own ideas, feelings or actions.
16. They EXPERIENCE vicariously as memories REPLAYING and INSPIRATIONS.
17. It is essential to realize that the SOUL does NOT generate experiences of its OWN, BUT it SEES as memories SEE, it FEELS as memories FEEL, it BEHAVES as memories BEHAVE, and it DECIDES as memories DECIDE.
18. OR RARELY, it SEES, FEELS, BEHAVES and DECIDES as INSPIRATION SEES, FEELS, BEHAVES and DECIDES.
19. It is CRUCIAL in problem solving to REALISE that the body and the world are NOT the problems in and of themselves, BUT the CONSEQUENCES of memories PLAYING in the subconscious.
20. The VOID is the FOUNDATION of Self I-Dentity, the mind and The Cosmos.
21. The VOID is the PRECURSOR STATE of the INFUSION of INSPIRATION from Divine Intelligence INTO the subconscious mind.

22. The Universe began with Zero and will RETURN to Zero.
23. Memories REPLAYING DISPLACE the VOID of Self I-Dentity. Memories NEED to be TRANSFORMED to VOID through TRANSFORMATION by Divine Intelligence by cleaning and erasing.
24. Existence is a GIFT from Divine Intelligence, and the GIFT is given for the SOLE PURPOSE of RE-ESTABLISHING Self I-Dentity through problem solving.
25. Self I-Dentity through Ho’oponopono is an UPDATED version of an ancient Hawaiian PROBLEM SOLVING process of REPENTENCE, FORGIVENESS and TRANSMUTATION.
26. Self I-Dentity through Ho’oponopono involves the FULL PARICIPATION of each of the FOUR members of Self I-Dentity: Divine Intelligence, Super Conscious mind, conscious mind, and subconscious mind WORKING TOGETHER as ONE UNIT.
27. Each member has its OWN unique part and function in problem solving the memories REPLAING in the subconscious mind.
28. The Super-Conscious mind is MEMORY-FREE and UNNEFECTED by memories REPLAYING in the conscious mind.
29. Self I-Dentity operates by INSPIRATION and MEMORY.
30. ONLY INSPIRATION or MEMORY can be in control of the subconscious mind at any ONE time.
31. The SOUL of Self I-Dentity either serves the thorn (memory) or the rose (inspiration).

32. VOID is the COMMON GROUND, the EQUALISER of ALL Self I-Dentity. It is the INDESTRUCTABLE and TIMELESS FOUNDATION of the entire Cosmos seen and unseen.
33. Memories Replaying DISPLACE the Self I-Dentity, taking the Soul of mind AWAY from its NATURAL position of VOID and Infinite.
34. ALTHOUGH memories DISPLACE the VOID, they CANNOT DESTROY it. – How can NOTHING be DESTROYED?
35. For Self I-Dentity to be Self I-Dentity moment to moment requires INCESSANT Ho’oponopono.
36. Like memories, INCESSANT Ho’oponopono can NEVER go on holiday.
37. INCESSANT Ho’oponopono can NEVER retire.
38. The conscious mind CAN INITIATE the Ho’oponopono process to RELEASE memories OR it can engage them with blame and thinking.

1) The conscious mind INITIATES the Ho’oponopono problem solving process.
A PETITION to Divine Intelligence is made to TRANSMUTE memories to VOID.
“I ACKNOWLEDGE that the problem is memories REPLAYING in MY subconscious mind, and I take 100% RESPONSIBILITY for them.”
The PETITION moves DOWN from the conscious mind into the subconscious mind.
2) The DOWNFLOW of the PETITION into the sub-conscious mind GENTLY stirs memories for TRANSMUTATION.
The PETITION then moves UP to the Super-conscious mind FROM the subconscious mind.
3) The Super-conscious mind REVIEWS the PETITION. MAKING CHANGES AS APPROPRIATE.
Because the Super-conscious mind is ALWAYS IN TUNE with Divine Intelligence, it has the CAPACITY to REVIEW and MAKE CHANGES.
The PETITION is the sent UP to Divine Intelligence for FINAL REVIEW and CONSIDERATION.

4) AFTER REVIEWING the PETITION sent UP from the Super-conscious mind, Divine Intelligence sends TRANSMUTATION ENERGY DOWN into the Super-conscious mind.
5) TRANSMUTING ENERGY then flows FROM the Super-conscious mind DOWN into the conscious mind.
6) And TRANSMUTING ENERGY then flows DOWN from the conscious mind into the subconscious mind, and the TRANSMUTING ENERGY then NEUTRALISES the designated memories.
39. Thinking and blame are memories REPLAYING.
40. The SOUL can be INSPIRED by Divine Intelligence WITHOUT knowing what is going on.
41. The ONLY requirement for Inspiration – Divine Creativity, is for Self I-Dentity to be Self I-Dentity.
42. To be Self I-Dentity requires INCESANT cleaning on memories.
43. Memories are CONSTANT COMPANIONS of the subconscious mind.
44. They NEVER leave the subconscious mind to go on holiday.
45. They NEVER leave the subconscious mind to go on retirement.
46. Memories NEVER STOP their INCESANT REPLAYING.
47. To be DONE with memories for once and for all, they must be CLEANSED TO NOTHING for once and for all.
48. The PURPOSE of life is to be Self I-Dentity as Divinity created Self I-Dentity in its EXACT LIKENESS. – VOID and INFINATE.
49. ALL life experiences are expressions of memories REPLAYING and INSPIRATIONS.
50. ALL problems are memories REPLAYING.
51. MY conscious mind has a CHOICE: It can initiate INCESANT cleansing OR it can ALLOW memories to REPLAY problems INCESANTLY.
52. Consciousness working alone is IGNORANT of Divine Intelligence’s most PRECIOUS GIFT: Self I-Dentity.
53. As such, it is IGNORANT of what a problem is.
54. This IGNORANCE results in intellectual solving of the problem.
55. The poor Soul is left to incessant NEEDLESS GRIEF for its ENTIRE EXISTANCE. – How sad!
56. The conscious mind NEEDS to be AWAKENED to the GIFT of Self I-Dentity: – “Wealth beyond all reason”.
57. Self I-Dentity is INDESTRUCTABLE and ETERNAL – as its Creator – Divine Intelligence.
58. The CONSEQUENCE of ignorance is the FALSE REALITY of senseless and relentless poverty, disease and death, generation after generation.
59. The physical is the EXPRESSION of memories and INSPIRATIONS taking place in the SOUL of Self I-Dentity.
60. By CHANGING the state of my Self I-Dentity, the state of the PHYSICAL world CHANGES.
61. WHO is in charge? – Memories REPLAYING or INSPIRATION? – The choice is in the hands of MY conscious mind.
62. Four Self I-Dentity through Ho’oponopono Problem Soling Processes that can be applied to re-establish Self I-Dentity through VOIDING memories REPLAYING in the subconscious mind:
a) “I Love You”:
· When I experience memories REPLAYING I say SILENTLY: “I LOVE You dear memories; I am GRATEFUL for the opportunity to FREE all of you and ME”.
· Memories NEVER go on vacation or retirement UNLESS I retire them.
· “I Love You” can be used EVEN if I am NOT conscious of problems.
· Use ALWAYS.
b) “Thank You”:
· Use with “I Love You”.
· Use over and over.
c) Blue Solar Water:
· Drinking LOTS of blue solar water is a WONDERFUL problem solving practice.
· Put TAP WATER in a BLUE bottle in the sun with a CORK.
· Use for: Drinking, Cooking, Rinsing Vegetables and Fruits.
· Blue Solar Water VOIDS memories REPAYING in the subconscious mind.
d) Strawberries and Blue berries:
· These fruits VOID memories.
